One of the important components of winding machines is the mandrel. The mandrel wire is fastened to a hand tightened drill chuck. The machine is equipped with an air cylinder and toggle switch for manual or automatic operation. When the tailstock is pushed back, the cylinder places tension on the mandrel wire. To release the tension, simply press the toggle switch. Depending on the requirements of the end user, the machine can be used for one powered or two powered spindles.
